Ant Bicycles. Bicycles built for transportation.

Ant Bicycles is run by Mike Flanigan. He specializes in bikes that are for simple transportation. His designs really allow his bikes to transcend the stereotype that the bicycle is just a tool for recreation.

His approach to integrating design for practicality first but still not ignoring aesthetics definitely influenced some of the decisions I made when I rebuilt my wife’s Masi single-speed into a dedicated commuter bike. I’ll be posting more on that soon but in the meantime enjoy this interview with Mike.
