The Camp Hilbert race series is one of my favorites. Just a 40 minute drive from downtown and on some of the fastest trails around. CBC had a pretty good showing at round 2 of the 3 race series.

Ian took 5th place in enduro managing 9 laps of the 6 mile loop aboard his Cannondale Scalpel.  Ian’s gearing up for doing the Shenandoah 100 mile race later this year and this was some solid training.

Racing sport, Bob Unberhandt came home with 5th place on his trusty Salsa Dos Niner.

Marc Warner completed his first mountain bike race ever and managed a respectable 6th place.  Not bad for a roadie.

Sean Yeager from Altius set a fast pace early on in the sport race and eventually finished out 4th.  Solid ride for a guy who recently found out that having a kid means you get to ride WAY less.

I managed to take 10 whole minutes of my personal best time on the course and pulled off 3rd place in sport.  Losing a bunch of weight makes racing bikes easier… who knew?

Thanks to Mark at Runriderace.com for putting on yet another awesome event!  Big thanks to Jesse Peters at Backlight Photography for taking loads of awesome pictures too!
