I was really hoping that any update to this post was going to be good news. Life is often not fair and I am sad to say that Mike’s condition did not improve and at 5am Monday he passed away.
I could talk about Mike as a talented athlete or as a customer. I would have nothing but good things to say. But all that really matters is that Mike was a great guy, husband, and father.
Mike, you will be missed by many.

Mike and I were close in college at SIU. He is truly and inspiration in the many lives that he touches. Mike, I will pray for you, Lara, and the kids. God speed my friend.

Mike and I traveled to many races together. I really admired everything about him. It’s nice that his heart will beat on in someone else since he was an organ donor.
