Keck has been a local fixture in the Virginia racing scene for a long time now. As a Cat 1 road rider and Expert class mountain biker he often mixes it up with some of the best riders in the country and often times comes home with the win. Recently he has been getting back to his roots and spending more time on the trails. In 2012 he’s going to expand his racing calendar to include more off road races. He needed a new bike for sure so after much deliberation decided on the Flash Carbon 2. A wise choice for sure.
Hear what Keck has to say about his new race bike…
“Hey man I took the bike out yesterday and I really can’t believe how much better it is than the other bike I was riding. I was expecting certain things to be better of course but it is no comparison at all in any way. The flash is awesome! The other bike I was riding is the same geometry as the tip top of the specialized line. One thing I noticed is you don’t really have to counter steer the flash like the other bike. Cannondale has there shit together. I like the wide bars also. I don’t think I am going to cut them. The lockout is a must! I already found myself using it on all of the climbs I get out of the saddle on. Big difference.
Anyways man I could not be happier with the bike and you know that is huge considering I paid money for it*. Hahhaahah… can’t believe how much more nimble and responsive it is over my last bike. If I can’t get a result on this bike it’s not the bike….I have no excuses anymore… you know anyone looking for a specialized stumpjumper? Going to put in for the Leadville lottery I think…”
*Keck rides for a road team and is used to getting most of his gear paid for. So when he throws down a few thousand dollars on a bike it’s a pretty big deal.
