Recent custom wheel builds
Here are three recent custom wheels I built up. First up are some Deep V fixed gear wheels. Bomb proof alloy rims are laced to Origin8 hubs. For the price it’s pretty hard to beat these hubs. Just like high end hubs from Phil Wood, Paul, and other small manufacturers they use easily serviced or...
Who cares if its raining?
When I quit my job as a messenger, nine years ago, I promised myself that I would never again ride in cold rain. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy riding in the rain, if its warm. A summer rain shower is actually enjoyable, but after working all winter in freezing rain, I learned to hate...

Surly’s new ugly Ogre
At this years Interbike show Surly showed off its newest creation, The Ogre. Its main use will be for multi day off-road tours. The most innovative part of the bike is its adjustable wheelbase, which can be re-positioned in the rear dropouts.
Ryan Call’s new Cinelli
A few days ago we sold a Cinelli Mash track frame to Ryan Call. He was looking to trade in his Brooklyn frame because he liked the style and ride of the Mash better. Yesterday he sent us a photo of the bike after he built it up. It turned out really sweet.
