Do you buy bikes?
No. We just sell them.
Do you take trade-ins?
Yes. We don’t take just any bike though. In order to be considered for trade in credit your used bike needs to be less than 10 years old and originally sold for more than $1000. We just don’t have the time and space to deal with lower end trade in bikes at this time.
When can I drop off my bike to get it fixed?
Anytime during business hours. We have a mechanic on site almost 100% of the time that can check in your bike and give you an estimate.
How long does it take to get my bike fixed?
Most service jobs take around 2 days to be competed. Sometimes it can be longer if we have to order parts. Sometimes it can be less time too.
How much will it cost to fix the __________ on my bike?
I’m not sure. Bring it by and we can give you an estimate.
Do you rent bikes?
Not at the moment. In the future we plan to for sure but it’s just not in the cards just yet.
My tire always seems to go flat when I store it for a while, why is that?
Bike tires typically lose 1-5 psi per day. If you tires have gone flat after a long period where the bike was not used they are probably fine and just need to be pumped back up.
What is your return policy?
If your purchase is unused and still in the original packaging you can bring it back within 30 days for store credit or money back minus a 5% restocking fee.
Do you allow test rides?
You bet. We want you to get a good feel for a potential new bike before you buy it. You can stop in any time to talk to one of our friendly sales people to get you set up to try a bike.
Do you match prices?
We try to. Sometimes there are deals out there that are just too good to be true though. Internet prices are often hard to match but we’ll see what we can do. We don’t match eBay prices.
I’m new to riding and have no idea what I’m doing. Will you guys be nice to me?
Of course! We all started out just like you. Come by any time to get informed on whatever aspect of cycling you are interested in. We all love bikes and are stoked to share our experiences with you.
Why is there not one bike that is good for everything?
Bikes are kind of like tools. You can’t fix everything with a hammer any more than you can with a screwdriver. There are lots of different ways to ride and some require some specialized equipment to get a fun and safe experience. There are bikes out there that can certainly do more than one thing well but there is just no such thing as bike that can excel at it all.
Do you do special orders?
Yep. Most special orders take 2-5 business days.
My butt hurts when I ride. What can I do about it?
I have been there… depending on your style of riding and the nature of your discomfort there are usually a few solutions out there. Something as simple as a different saddle can be the cure. For longer rides the bike shorts with the padding make a HUGE difference. Sometimes discomfort is just a result of improper fit on the bike. We are more than happy to help get you sorted. We want you to have fun riding!
Do you sell gift certificates?
Yep!
My friend is a cyclist what should I get them as a gift?
That’s a tough one. A few things that are always apreciated though are quality socks, a nice wool cycling cap for riding in the fall and winter, or the ever popular gift certificate.
What are the helmet and light laws in Richmond?
As for helmets… you don’t HAVE to wear one. But you really should. Really. You don’t look nearly as dorky as you think. As for lights, if it’s after dusk you have to have a front light and rear reflector no matter what. If the speed limit is over 25 you need a rear blinkey light too. Play it safe and use a front a rear light at all times when riding in the dark. Without them you are way harder to see than you think.
